With the considerable help of Shanara Gabrielle and a host of fine actors (and non-actors) I mounted an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream for Shakespeare Festival St. Louis’ SHAKE38 festival.
We re-imagined the play as an editorial fashion photo shoot with the lovers playing the role of models, Oberon as a photographer (played by real-life photographer Jay Fram), Titania as his producer (played by real-life producer Kathy Ferrara), and Puck as a digital imager (played by real-life digital imager Danny Hommes). Costuming was provided by local fashion genius Michael Drummond.
An audience of 135 people crammed into my studio at Big Club to experience the one-night-only show.
